How To Join the Boratscape IRC Chat Channel!
Official Boratscape IRC Server and Channel Tutorial!
Server: irc.freenode.net
Channel: #boratscape
Port: 6667
If you have GAIM, follow these steps.
* Click on Accounts > Add/Edit. Click on Add.
* Set your protocol to IRC. Set your server to "irc.freenode.net" without quotes. Set your own username. Click on Advanced and make sure the Port is set to 6667. Finally, click on save.
* Go back to the main GAIM, and click on Accounts > Add/Edit. Make sure that the IRC is enabled.
* Once you are connected, you should receive a message from GAIM saying that you have connected succesfully with freenode-connect.
* To join the mopar channel, type in: /join #boratscape
* If you would like to change your nickname, type in: /nick YourNickName
* To register your nickname with the server, type in: /msg NickServ REGISTER YourPassword
* After registering, each time you go to that channel, you will need to identify yourself with the server, so type in this: /msg NickServ IDENTIFY YourPassword
* You're all set now!

Step 1 - Downloading
- To Download and Install The La-*test*-('") Version of mIRC Go Here!
Step 2 - Opening
- Open mIRC
- Hit Continue And A Box Should Appear.
Step 3 - Connecting to IRC
- Ok, Now that you have the box open which should be called mIRC Options. If not, then hit the little File + Hammer Icon.
- Fill in a username and alternate username.
- Now click the little 'server' tab which is off to the left in that options box.
- Now hit Add, Type a Description (What ever you like).
- You should see 4 other spaces to fill. Put in the following information.
IRC Server: irc.freenode.net
Port(s): 6667 (should already be filled out)
Group: Leave Empty
Password: Leave Empty
- Hit OK, and hit connect. Viola! You're Connected!
- Now it will come up with a bunch of writing blah blah blah.
Step 4 - Registering - IMPORTANT STEP
- Now Type /nick YOURNICK (eg /nick Exploit)
- Then /ns register YOURPASSWORD YOUREMAIL (eg /ns register ir1337ub3r exploit@exploit.com)
- Now either type /j or /join #boratscape in the text box, and your in the channel!
Here are some other commands:
/list - Lists All Channels
/join - /join CHANNEL
